Frosty morning

Even with gloves on it was a bitterly cold morning by the lake.

On a club outing we went to Thames Barrier Park. I couldn't help but notice the DLR station and liked the simplicity of the lines.

On a safari in Kent

Other than gorillas we came across other interesting species.

Gorillas

You do not always need your passport to go on a safari. Just drive down to Kent (Port Lympne) and there, you have an impressive African park. The main focus of the day was Gorillas. Trickiest parts to photograph were the eyes but with a bit of fill in flash we tried to give the gorillas justice. The black and white versions definitely look more appropriate to the subject matter.

Around the lake

The lake down the road is an endless source of inspiration.

Fireworks

Fireworks display was very wet this year. I had to take pictures from inside the car, no not because of my hair but I did not want my camera to get wet!

Messing in the kitchen

What is it? You are probably asking yourself. Well, I poured a few drops of olive oil on some water I had put in a glass dish. Under the dish I had placed a CD and a yellow card. The result is rather abstract.
